BRAYTON LAGUNA POTTERY

Brayton Laguna Pottery Durlin E. Brayton made handcrafted vases, lamps, and dinnerware in a small kiln at his Laguna Beach, California, home beginning in 1927. After he married, and with his wife, Ellen Webster Grieve, as his partner, the small business became a successful commercial venture. Brayton Laguna Pottery is most famous for their amusing, well-detailed figurines, some of which were commissioned by Walt Disney Studios. Though very successful even through the Depression year's, with the influx of cheap imports that deluged the country after WWII, business began to decline. By 1968 the Brayton Laguna Pottery was closed. ©CPI
